REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A SHORT STAY VISA FOR RESEARCHERS AND SCIENTISTS
Article 50: “A foreigner who enters the national territory may apply for this visa to carry out, without profit, the following activities: student exchanges, cultural, educational, health, scientific, research and internship missions. They must be granted by virtue of agreements entered into with the State. or between foreign embassies and companies, educational institutions, governmental or non-governmental organizations recognized by law Panamanian.”
1. Power of Attorney (notarized) and Request. The power of attorney must contain the name and nationality of the applicant's parents.
2. Three (3) photographs.
3. Duly verified copy of the passport (Notarized or Authenticated corresponding).
4. Criminal Record Certificate.
5. Health Certificate.
6. Affidavit of Personal History Form.
7. Visa application form.
8. Letter from the educational or government institution or organization not government based in Panama, in which it certifies the activity that the foreigner will develop during the time for which the permission.
9. Certification of the entity that grants the scholarship, if applicable.
10. Certification from the Ministry of Government, which includes the registration of the non-governmental association, if applicable.
11. Payment of expenses for immigration services, for the sum of one hundred balboas (B/.100.00) in favor of the National Immigration Service.
12. Verified air reservation with travel continuation itinerary.
13. Simple copy of the identification document or residence card of the country where you have your domicile, if any.
14. Confirmed hotel reservation, if applicable.
When it is a minor, the application for this visa must be make one of their parents or whoever has proper care and upbringing accredited.
