Panama Confirms 206,112 Legal Entities Dissolved in 2026: What to Review

The official portal lists 180,346 dissolutions dated February 27 and 25,766 dated March 31; the next block is being rescheduled.

Panama’s Public Registry publishes two 2026 blocks of dissolved legal entities: 180,346 dated February 27 and 25,766 dated March 31. Together, the two official lists total 206,112 entities. The next block, covering 154,029 reviewed suspended entities from 2017 through 2021, currently shows that its dissolution date is being rescheduled.

What the official lists show

The Public Registry portal provides downloadable lists of suspended and dissolved entity files by stage. Checking those lists is a practical first step to determine whether a company appears in a block and what status is recorded.

What active companies should review

The Ministry of Economy and Finance advised taxpayers to check status with the Public Registry and regularize DGI records when necessary. It also identified resident-agent information, accounting records, beneficial-owner information and other legal noncompliance as relevant issues.

The next block was rescheduled

The Public Registry page shows 154,029 reviewed suspended entities for the 2017–2021 block, but states that the dissolution date is being rescheduled. A future date should not be treated as final until the authority confirms it.

This is not a Panama Papers list

These lists form part of an administrative cleanup of suspended and dissolved legal entities; they are not a Panama Papers list. The MEF links the process to corporate transparency, consistent taxpayer records and compliance with international standards.

Reinstatement and corrections

The official portal includes a special correction route for dissolved entities that were in good standing but had payments recorded under an incorrect RUC. The company file, RUC, registry status and outstanding obligations should be compared before any request is filed.

Official sources

This legal update is based on information published by Panamanian government institutions. Requirements, forms, amounts and channels may change, so the current official version should be checked again before filing.
