PROVISIONAL PERMIT AS A RESEARCHER, SCIENTIST AND PROFESSIONALS OF EXCEPTIONAL TALENT IN AREAS OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE. (PPT-SENACYT)

Executive Decree No. 6 of 20 of March of 2026: “You may opt for this Resident permit Permanent Researchers, Scientists and Professionals of Exceptional Talent in areas of National Importance.”

1. Power of attorney and Application signed by the applicant and Attorney _____

2. Three (3) photographs

3. Duly verified copy of the passport (Notarized or Authenticated) ______

4. Criminal Record Certificate issued by the Panamanian Authorities (if older of age) _______

5. Health Certificate_____

6. Certified Check for B/. 250.00 in favor of the National Treasury ______

7. Check certified by B/.800.00 in favor of the National Immigration Service, for repatriation deposit.

8. Personal Background Affidavit Form______

9. Verification of scientific career in an area of interest to the country through publications indexed high impact awards, memberships in scientific academies, patents or others recognitions. _____

10. Letter of affiliation or agreement with a scientific, academic institution or research center in Panama. ______

11. Letter of responsibility from the scientific, academic institution or research center where state the activity and the salary to be earned. ______

12. Work plan or project research to be developed in the country. _______

13. Certification of economic solvency or financing of the project. _______

14. Updated resume. ______

15. Proof of address of the applicant______

In the case of dependents, in addition to the requirements stipulated in the article 28 of Decree Law No. 3 of 2008, must provide the following:

1. Notarized Letter of Responsibility and Repatriation.

2. Proof of relationship (marriage, birth or certificate) judicial record). (apostilled or authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Exteriors).

3. The applicant of legal age and under 25 years of age must provide:

a. Certificate from an educational center of your status as a student full time and regular

b. Affidavit of single status

4. Proof that the resident has sufficient financial solvency. The resident can prove said solvency in one of the following ways:

to. Copy of the income tax return, with its peace and sound and it must meet the minimum income of one thousand balboas (B/.1,000.00) per month plus one hundred balboas (B/.100.00), additional for each dependent;

b. Updated employment letter with its respective checkbook or employment record Social Security Fund and copy of the work permit;

c. Bank reference letter of no less than four medium figures.

5. Proof of address in the name of the person responsible Original or notarized copy (Electricity, Water Receipt or Lease Contract). In case the proof of address is in the name of another person, you must present a explanatory note indicating that the applicant resides at said address.

PERMANENT RESIDENT PERMIT AS A RESEARCHER, SCIENTIST AND PROFESSIONALS OF EXCEPTIONAL TALENT IN AREAS OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE. (PRP-SENACYT)

After the term of two (2) years of the provisional permit, the above requirements with the exception of checks. In the case of dependents, except providing proof of relationship.
